Bio
Michal Ficek received the MSc. degree in Computer Science from Faculty of Mathematics and Physics (MFF UK) at Charles University in Prague in 2009. During his study Michal joined RDC as one of the developers on the SS7Tracker project. The project goal was network optimization with active tracking. Within work on this project he became RDC Guru and today he leads the follow-up projects towards wide area of location based services (LBS) and location API. Michal is a PhD student at CTU FEL, Telecommunication Engineering department, with aim at GSM network roaming weak points analysis and modeling.
Research Interests
Location based services in GSM networks, roaming users migration between rival operators.
