SS7Tracker

The SS7Tracker project on network-based active tracking was developed as a monitoring platform for roaming traffic, with the purpose of GSM network improvement. Modular client-server architecture takes advantage of SS7 signaling to retrieve mobile network subscriber cell association in real time. This is useful for statistical analysis of GSM network performance and coverage. Extensibility and modularity of the platform serve as inspiration for various follow-up projects from the Location Based Services (LBS) and LBS-advertising domain. The growing demand for time and spatial data of subscriber movement for urbanistic and sociological purposes leads to further improvements of the SS7Tracker platform in this up-to-date field of study.

Mobile Location Protocol Library

Project that is extending SS7Tracker is called Opensource MLP implementation. Its purpose is to develop Mobile Location Protocol (MLP) library in C++. This library provides standardized interface for acquiring location of mobile devices from mobile network. MLP is designed for IP networks, thus this requests can be performed by external entities that are not part of mobile networks.

More about this project can be found at http://libmlp-cpp.sourceforge.net.

Legacy of Nikola Tesla - Wireless monument

As Urban neighborhood Praha 6 claimed a project of an active monument dedicated to Nikola Tesla was realized. There is an connection of Nikola Tesla´s wish for wireless communication and dematerialization, that all his work contain and is reflected in this type of monument. The main demand on realization of this monument is sending short information messages to visitors around mentioned monument. The main aim of the project, that is bring to effect in RDC, is verified if this unique idea can be realized. An output of the project is a summary document including all possibilities of realization.
