CesnetThe Voice2Web project offers man-machine-web interaction via voice. Using latest standards in communications technologies (VoiceXML, CCXML), the system provides means for voice application development. Our biggest achievements include designing voice applications that act as a dynamic interface to a particular Web service, such as live weather conditions around Europe. Other demos include providing information about Czech Technical University or RDC and offering various services such as Virtual Mexican Restaurant.
Our team created a Web interface for easy creation of voice applications. The interface has also been integrated with voice platform to provide immediate deployment of voice applications and thus makes them ready at once. Developed applications can be translated by one click into other languages by integrated translator application. Future project paths converge to becoming a Voice-to-Web interface offering service now available mainly via visual contact. Voice2Web project associates members from Czech Technical University, Charles University and UPC Barcelona working together in collaboration with IBM Research Voice Technologies in Prague. We focus on creation of a European Network of Excellence for Voice Services in Regional Languages, working with several European academic institutions on board already.
