RDC Scholarship

The RDC Scholarship is sponsored by Vodafone Foundation, IBM and Vodafone companies. The RDC Scholarship is intended for students of all types of universities in the Czech Republic. Sholarship holders have an opportunity of personal development along with gaining interesting experience of working in a professional team on specific projects. The sholarship holders plan their program themselves.

The projects include development of services and systems, whole year work, independent studies or research reports, special projects in telecommunication area etc. The kind support of Vodafone Foundation encourages in particular projects oriented towards helping the handicapped community with technological solutions .

The RDC scholarship strengthens links between the academic and the business sphere, helps students to be ready for their future career and makes development of research activities in the area of interest of Research and Development Centre possible.

The aim of the RDC Sholarship is:

• support collaboration of students with Research and Development Centre
• encourage extraordinary students during their studies
• increase students' professional knowledge, mainly in the priority area of interest of the Research and Development Centre
• encourage education expansion in the area of telecommunication sevices
• strengten collaboration with other subjects in the area of research and development of services
• provide information about study in the field of telecommunication and computer science
• provide mobility to students of all universities

The RDC Scholarship include three scholarship programs for different groups of students.

• RDC Expert
• RDC Guru

Priority Interest Area

Although the scholarship program is open for students of all kinds of universities and so for applicants from almost all branches of study. RDC priority interest area stay the areas of mobile communication and technical fields linked with communications. This is the reason why the steering committee and selection committee take into account whether the presented projects contribute to research, innovation and development or increase qualification in any following areas:

• Computer Science, computer graphics and design
