How to sign up

A scholarship holder in one of the RDC scholarship programs can become a student who

• fulfils the demands needed for requirements for a scholarship in appropriate program
• sends a filled application
• is recommended by the selection committee of the program
• passes through the personal interview and
• is chosen by the RDC steering committee

New Junior program candidates selection takes place every month. In case of Expert program the steering committee awards scholarship once in 3 months. An applicant must send his or her application to so called D day.

D day is 15th day of every moth. The next D day is 15. 09. 2010

We recommend to contact Guru club to those students who are interested in RDC projects, but have not yet decided what to do within the RDC sholarship program. Guru club members will inform them about possibilities to join current projects and advise them to what problem they should focus. The interested students can discusse their vision of a new project and the way how to describe it with Guru club through stipendium@rdc.cz before they make an application.

Scholarship applicants are choosen on the basis of selection committee's recommendation. The selection committee evaluate applications according to general selection criteria. The evaluation of the applications in specific programs produces a list of applicants which will be used as a recommendation for RDC steering committee. Before evaluating the application, selection committee check the fulfilment of scholarship requirements, especially completeness of information sent with the application and its formal quality.

Selection committee

For RDC Junior program the selection committee consists of the Guru club members. For RDC Expert program the selection committe is made by six delegates, specialists in their fields. This committee is assembled by the RDC steering committee. The committee members can be either from universities or from practice.
